The AM335x processors integrate a broad range of industrial communication standards that work on Ethernet, CAN, and RS-485 physical layers.The AM3359 IDK enables customers to evaluate and develop applications that require industrial communication standards such as CANOpen, PROFIBUS, EtherCAT, Ethernet/IP, PROFINET and SERCOS-III with minimal developmental efforts below the Application Layer. The hardware and software resources required for physical and data link layers are included on AM3359 ARM MPU and the IDK.To simplify the development process, the IDK includes evaluation copies of software frameworks such as the SYS/BIOS real-time kernel, application stacks for industrial communication standards, and sample applications that enable compelling demonstrations of the capabilities of the IDK.
